8th December 2009 - Ryan Hunt |
| In November we travelled south to Chris and Dom's Everybody Dance Weekend at the Durrant House Hotel in Bideford. My first Crazy Gang Entertainment event, although we had been to this great hotel back in March for one of Dave's weekends. Nev was the guest lecturer for the weekend and taught his and Julie's three latest dances.. as well as an oldie recap of Gangsta's Paradise. First up was their Paloma Faith, 64c, 2w choreography NY CHA. A great mix of basic steps with a couple of differences.. a classy dance as Carol would say. Next up was something funky with U GOT IT ALL choreographed to another great Flo-Rida track. And finally, ABOUT A GIRL, a solid intermediate, mainstream pop dance to a feel good Sugababes track. All dances were big hits - U Got It All and NY Cha going really well at class. We had a great time socially mixing with a bunch of fresh faces. Chris and Dom had used round tables seating around 10 people so everyone had a chance to mingle from the off on Friday night - well those there in time for their meal ;-). Excellent social dancing, in my opinion, and we were accommodated for 100%. Over the weekend we got to dance all of the Fitzgerald classics including Ain't Got No Money, What Goes Around, X, Look The Other Way, Elevator, It's Murda, Can't Stand Still, I Am Afraid, Wikkidest Ting, If I Ain't Got You etc. Great to dance all of the Scott classics - too many to name. Chris kept us dancing until after 4 so we were happy hamsters :-). Saturday evening was one of the best fancy dress nights for participation. Most of the dancers had gone to a real effort for the "Glamour Night - Dress To Impress" theme; which I think is an on-going feature of the weekend. My first time yet I was awarded Mr Glamour for my take on the theme! Unfortunately, our plans turned to dust because of the terrible rain on Saturday afternoon. Weather was bad all weekend - like the puds I'm afraid =0. So Saturday afternoon was just chill time in the hotel with a cream tea .. in great company though :-). So, you're turn to try a Crazy Gang event now :-). Ryan |

1st December 2008 - Mo Goodfield |
| Thanks everyone for a great weekend. Old Mr Fowler is still one of the best teachers and almost always does great dances. You all work so hard for these events and Dom's star turn was definitely one of the highlights again. Have a fantastic time in US and a great Christmas and New Year. See you in 2009. What a scary thought 2009, where has 2008 gone? Maybe its just old age that makes it feel like that! Lots of love, Mo. |

19th November 2007 - Sally and Tony Comport |
| Hi Chris, Dom & Katie. Just to say a huge thank you for your 1st line dance weekend. It was a big hit with every one I spoke to. WELL DONE all of you. A lot of hard work I know but from your point of view a great success, I hope! Tony and I had a great time, and your venue was good. We had a day out, and where you were based it was easy to visit other places, which is good for non dancers. Paul 's demo was brill and if at all possible I would love a copy of his demo and your sumo dances. Once again thank you for a wonderful weekend, and we will be there next year to support you. See you on Thursday love Sally and Tony xxx |

18th November 2007 - John Fairlie and Kathy Ryan |
| We spent a lot of the day at Ilfracombe where we had an hour or two to look around, and had a coffee, and then to Lynton & Lynmouth where we had another long walk, a coffee and shared a cream tea. Although today was very misty and cloudy, we didn’t get wet at all. If we had have got wet, Kathy would not have heard the end of it!!! We both enjoyed the weekend tremendously. The ‘accommodation’ aspect was first class, and it was clear you both did an excellent job in organising it and executing it. There were lots of nice touches that made it all a bit special, and I’m sure it would have been appreciated by everyone there. Well done. I am very pleased with how I did on the raffle. I got the watch which I was told was worth about £40!! I have to work out how to use it now!! I have an instruction sheet, but it’s written in micro text. Well done again. We shall look forward to hijacking places on the next trip if you will have us again. John and Kathy |

2nd October 2007 - Judy and Stuart Davis |
| We attended a line dance weekend at The Durrant House Hotel. The hotel had a very warm welcome, the rooms were very nice with comfy beds and beautiful views. The food was lovely especially the puddings! We enjoyed it so much that we are going back at the end of October and again in November for the Everybody Dance Weekend. Barnstable has a very nice shopping area and the local town of Bideford is very pretty and scenic. We had a nice walk along the river watching boats sail in. There is also a local shopping mall called Atlantic City that some visited which is a large factory outlet. The Sunday Lunch at the hotel was delicious... and the pudding was amazing! |

9th March 2007 - Pauline and Howard Robinson |
| We spent a long weekend at the Durrant house Hotel in February 2007. For those who enjoy shopping and sightseeing it is in a good location for visiting nearby towns Bideford and Barnstable. During our stay we found the food to be of a good quality plus there were bar facilities available. The staff were very helpful and the hotel has a spacious ballroom. They were undergoing some refurbishment whilst we were there and we are looking forward to our forthcoming visit in November 2007. |

3rd November 2006 - Crazy Chris & Dom |
| We popped down to Bideford today to take a good look around the new hotel, called the Durrant House Hotel and we were very impressed indeed. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very stylish in keeping with its regal history. We saw the ballroom which was divided for a function at the time, but we got a good impression for its size, which we know will certainly cater for us... and then some! The rooms are currently having a face lift with luxurious new bathrooms and a new key-card system on the doors, all of which will be completed well in time for us. They have also recently had the permission to build a new spa centre at the hotel which should be ready by next July... looking forward to using that!! All in all, we were very impressed and can't wait to be there doing our Everybody Dance weekend. |
